Huma Kanwal Atta is a Clinical Psychologist, Certified MHPSS Trainer , Head of Department and Lecturer at the Institute of Public Mental Health & Behavioral Sciences, Khyber Medical University Peshawar . Holding certifications in Health & Professional Education (KMU),Certificate in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (KMU) Integrated Behavioral Health & Rehabilitation Health Services Academy  Islamabad. She was selected in a fully funded Peace Research Fellowship from Mahidol University, Thailand (2025), she brings six years of frontline experience serving marginalized women and school children across KP through UNICEF research and UN Women consultancy. She currently supervises five M.Phil scholars and is launched  a Three-Month Behavioral Activation Therapy Certificate Course at KMU in collaboration with the University of York, UK
