The test was conducted at multiple examination centers across different districts. In Peshawar alone, four centers accommodated a total of 3,500 candidates, while 135 students appeared from the KMU Institute of Health Sciences in Islamabad. On this occasion, Vice Chancellor KMU, Prof. Dr. Zia Ul Haq, stated that the overwhelming participation of candidates reflects that the younger generation is no longer confined to traditional medical professions alone, but is increasingly drawn to fields like Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Nursing, and other Allied Health Sciences. He emphasized that the healthcare system is a comprehensive structure where all supporting disciplines hold equal significance and play a vital role in building an effective healthcare delivery system.
Prof. Dr. Zia Ul Haq further announced that a second centralized admission test will be organized next month for those students who, for any genuine reason or technical difficulty, could not participate in the first test. The goal is to ensure equal opportunities for all talented and interested candidates. He also shared that the results of the current test will be announced within the next two to three days and will be available on KMU’s official website: http://cat.kmu.edu.pk.
The transparent and well-organized execution of the admission test has been widely appreciated by students, parents, and academic circles alike. The arrangements and facilities provided at the exam centers were termed satisfactory, reflecting KMU’s administrative efficiency and professional capability. This initiative is a significant step toward enhancing the quality of health education in the province, attracting talented youth to modern scientific disciplines, and laying the foundation for a robust and integrated healthcare system in the future.
